We are partial to the odd seaweed bath here in MyIrelandBox. We had our first one in Strandhill, Co.Sligo years ago and we felt that we had been brought back in time to old Ireland when seaweed baths were found throughout the country!
Mungo Murphy's Seaweed Co. uses only sustainably hand-harvested seaweed from the West of Ireland in the making of its seaweed bath products, bringing the wild energy of the sea, to the cosy comfort of your home.
Wild By Water - Dublin
We met sisters Jacki and Nicole at last January's Showcase Ireland Event. To merge this beautiful scenery that we see every day here in West Kerry (Have you been following us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook (@MyIrelandBox) to our images?) with fashion is in our opinion just genius!
Their wonderful bags and purses made with sustainably sourced materials, feature images of photographs from Irish coastal and waterside areas.
At It Again - Dublin
At it Again design and create pocket guides, notebooks, cards and posters themed to classic literature. All of their products are created, designed and printed in Dublin, Ireland, on sustainable material. The illustration on this greeting card features a quote from the original Gothic novel 'Dracula', (written by Bram Stoker who was born in Dublin) where as in a dream, three voluptuous women mysteriously appear to seduce Jonathan Harker. A perfect card for Halloween and our little nod to all things spooky!
Julie Malone - The Dingle Druid - Dingle Co. Kerry
Nestled in the Irish countryside overlooking the serene view of Dingle Bay lies a cottage with a half door. It is in this magical setting that Juli Malone creates her Dingle Druid natural skincare. Honey bees live on the land with her and provide the beeswax and honey that she uses during the process. We love that the pure clean water added to each lovingly made batch of natural skincare is fetched from her very own well! This gorgeous soap blanketed in Irish wool felt was the perfect option to choose from her range. This is because in olden days here in Ireland, sheep's wool was wrapped around soap as an exfoliant. Those ancestors of our were smart! We wanted to take you back in time with this lovely natural product!
